City One More Goalkeeper Napoli Rover
Manchester City are close to a deal with former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina. Initially City offered a price of 3 million euros for Reina but was denied Napoli, who wanted 5 million euros.
The Italian journalist, Raffaele Auriemma in the event at Radio Crc says, the transfer of Reina to the City is still ongoing. “City insists on wanting Reina as Ederson’s coating. They are still a few million of the asking price. The amount of 3 million euros is too little for Napoli asking for 5 million euros, “Auriemma said.
However, there is hope that a deal with the 34-year-old will be achieved in the coming days. Reina will join City as the second goalkeeper after Ederson Moraes.
This condition of course can make Claudio Bravo forgotten. Except, the captain of the Chilean national team opted out of Etihad.
Bravo is not in the squad that flew to Houston on Monday (17/7) to start their pre-season tour in the United States after appearing in the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.
City was ready to listen to offers for Bravo. However, Reina’s recruitment can put City in a trapped situation if it does not get Bravo enthusiasts.
